ABOUT US
From a gas station to a beloved local cafe
It started with a repurposed gas station and an ambitious idea. Uncommon Grounds opened in 1998 when Peter Kaloostian transformed his family's gas station into a bustling and popular cafe. Located in the heart of Coolidge Square in East Watertown, MA, Uncommon Grounds has been a beloved staple of the local community for over two decades (and always striving to getting better and better every year!!)

Our local, family-owned cafe serves both breakfast and lunch, including classic dishes like Belgian waffles with fresh berries, lemon ricotta pancakes, benedicts, customizable omelets, burritos, salads, paninis, half-pund burger, and more. Enjoy a meal on the cafe's outdoor patio with a house special latte, fresh brewed coffee, or calming tea. We pride ourselves on our delicious food and an accommodating, friendly staff, and we can't wait to see you soon!
